Fantastic condition and backed on museum quality linen |
With vibrant and vivid colour, this charming poster designed by the iconic poster designer Pierre Fix-Masseau was created in 1960, advertising French brand Gitanes & Disque Bleu Caporal cigarettes. The poster was used for advertisement on the SNCF Railway depicts a woman and man alongside the cigarette filters.
Fix-Masseau collaborated with Gitanes, Disque Bleu and other cigarette brands on many occasions, and his stylised work was synonymous with French advertising of the era with his works for the likes of Bally and the Venice Simplon Orient-Express. This piece is in mint condition and is backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
Framing Options

Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.

Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
