One of the greatest albums of all time, The Clash released "London Calling" in 1979 to great critical and commercial success. The legendary album from the London Punk band has an equally iconic cover & poster.
Depicting bassist Paul Simonon smashing his guitar on the floor photographed by Pennie Smith, the cover was stylised by graphic designer Ray Lowry and is considered one of the greatest ever. Lowry repeated the image on this original release poster from 1979 to great effect resembling a piece of Pop Art. This exceptionally rare piece of music and design history is in fantastic condition and has been backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
Framing Options

Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.

Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
