A beautiful original gouache painting which was created as a reference for a poster for the widely eaten bread/ biscuit Biscottes, this was created in the 1940s by an unknown artist. This wonderful original painting is a fantastic example of the timeline and process of posters in the earlier 20th century (still continued to this day although much less common) whereby the artist would create a series of hand painted references to use as a basis for a final agreed design.
