It was the year that Football Was Coming Home, and filled with iconic moments such as Gazza’s dentist chair against Scotland, and Suker’s chip against Denmark. The 1996 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as Euro 96, was the 10th UEFA European Championship. Taking place from 8th – 30th June 1996, it was held across England.

Germany won the tournament, beating the Czech Republic 2–1 in the final with a golden goal during extra time; this was the first major competition to be decided using this method. This was also Germany's first major title won as a unified nation, adding to the two European Championship titles won by West Germany prior to reunification.

This poster is from the original promotion of the tournament, featuring the large logo of the tournament and the main sponsors (and England's longtime sponsor at the time) Umbro. The piece is a brilliant reminder of the tournament which is looked back on so fondly especially in England, with a fantastic design reminiscent of the 90s.
