Vertigo is a 1958 American film noir psychological thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The story was based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac. The screenplay was written by Alec Coppel and Samuel A. Taylor.

Regularly ranked as one of the greatest and most inluential films of all time, the film also produced one of the most iconic poster designs of all time by Saul Bass. A graphic designer and Oscar-winning filmmaker, Bass worked with Hitchcock on multiple films, as well as the likes of Kubrick, Scorsese and Wilder.

In 1996, the film underwent a major restoration to create a new 70 mm print and DTS soundtrack which was when this beautiful poster was produced.
