Original art print "Nella Testa Dell'Architetto" or "Airship Musical" by artist Diego Amprimo. This piece was created using black ballpoint pen and watercolour pencils, originally 80 x 60 cm created in 2005 and completed in 2006. Inspired by the Quintet for clarinet and string quartet KV 581 by Mozart and RV 629 Longe mala, umbrae, terrores Motet by Vivaldi. You can see more of his work here.
Diego Amprimo, born in Turin (Piedmont-ITALY) in 1969, lives and works in Marene (a small town on the outskirts of the LANGHE-ROERO) in the Province of Cuneo. Graduated from the First Liceo Artistico State of Turin in 1987/88, he then moved on to the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts, attended the First School of Painting, graduated in 1992. About himself and his work he says:
"From an early age my two great artistic passions have been ARCHITECTURE (the baroque and severe architecture of Turin) and the HUMAN FACE.
The face is SCENOGRAPHY-ARCHITECTURE (like the sckenè of the Greek-Roman theater which is made of stone and embellished with niches, columns and pediments) where the voice becomes the actor who plays in front of the audience.
But if the face is architecture, consequently it suffers the historical-stylistic influences. It becomes Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical. It collides with / meets eighteenth-century palaces and is surrounded by rounded arcades that become pointed arches. Lintels, pediments, eyes and noses flying buttresses breasts and hair all in a mental vortex that springs from the drawn sheets and the canvases."
The prints are limited to 100 numbered editions in sizes A4 (8.3 x 11.7) and A3 (11.7 x 16.5).
