Poster is in fantastic condition and has minimal signs of ageing or handling. 

Created in 1952 by British Railways, this beautiful poster advertises routes to Hampton Court in Richmond upon Thames, London, England. Artist Claude Henry Buckle (1905-73) created a small series of these posters to promote the historical significance of British locations. This stunning piece depicts King Henry VIII outside of the famous palace in 1525 and reads "Hampton Court - Where History Lingers". 

This poster was published by the Railway Executive (Southern Region) and was printed in Great Britain by Jordison & Co Ltd. It has never been displayed. Artist Claude Henry Buckle is best known for his prolific railway posters for the likes of GWR, LMS, SR & British Railways.
