Award-winning artist Waldemar Świerzy created a series of "Jazz Greats" pieces, featuring the greatest Jazz musicians of all time. Beginning in 1975 with King Oliver, many of these were created due to their popularity and wonderful style.

Ray Charles Robinson was an American singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. Among friends and fellow musicians he preferred being called "Brother Ray." He was often referred to as "The Genius." 

Waldemar Świerzy was born in Katowice, Poland, he graduated from the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts in 1952. He was subsequently Professor in the University of Fine Arts in Poznań from 1965 and Professor in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1994.
