This beautiful and vibrant poster was created in 1981 to promote the retrospective exhibition of Pop-Artist Roy Lichtenstein's work from the period of 1970-80 held at the Saint Louis Art Museum from May 8th - June 28th. The poster features his artwork "Apple With Brushstrokes" from the period.
Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, and Jasper Johns among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement. His work defined the premise of pop art through parody. Inspired by the comic strip, Lichtenstein produced precise compositions that documented while they parodied, often in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
This beautiful offset lithograph is on thick art stock paper and is in mint condition.

Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
